Having a child diagnosed with type 1 diabetes is very overwhelming. You are suddenly having to learn so many things just to keep your child healthy and alive.
I have been there and am here for you! You can do this! It just takes lots of learning, finding hope and support through a support group (There’s great ones online!), and learning to take things one day at a time until you find your “new normal.” There will be many tears along the way, unfortunately, as you grieve the loss of a “healthy” child, but a child with diabetes can do just about anything anyone else can do, just with a few precautions. Hang in there and know you’ve got this!
