It’s Christmas season! There is a “Christmas Tag” post that is going around where you can hear from bloggers about all things Christmas season. Thanks to HecticDiabetic for tagging me to answer the questions!
Here’s my answers!
What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
Hmm. As a child I loved watching all the classics. Each year I looked forward to a different one each night. (Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Snoopy Christmas, and many others I can’t think of at the moment!
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Yes, but only once or twice. And in westt TN if it snows it doesn’t last long but it shuts down everything!
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
We drive to my husband’s mom’s for lunch and then to my family’s for dinner. Both are in Mississippi but several hours away from each other.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
It’s hard to pick just one. I grew up in the Episcopal church where we did not sing Christmas hymns until Christmas Eve so on it was so great to me to get to here my favorites in the 11:30 pm Christmas Eve service. Some of my favorites are:
Oh Holy Night
Joy to the World
The First Noel
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
This is a weird answer probably but yes, everything in our house! When my husband was in seminary we lived 8 hours away with babies. One year we tried taking all the stuff on that long car ride.
After that, Santa came early to our house the morning of Christmas Eve. Then after the Christmas Eve service we would drive 8 hours to family.
After the kids got older and we moved closer home, we continued to do it on Christmas Eve morning. (They never let us forget that he comes early to our house)
It does make for less stress because I’m not feeling rushed to cook and drive to family gatherings. So do what works for your family!
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Yes, as long as I sing the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer song!
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake. I go for easy. It’s a pre-lit tree though a strand isn’t working but that’s ok. I’m not aiming for perfect. I do love the smell of real trees though.
Well that’s it! Hope everyone has a blessed and merry Christmas! I’m tagging JunkFoodNutrition so head over and read her answers!
