May 13th is National Hummus Day, so here’s an easy hummus recipe to try! Sabra Hummus is a great tasting plant based protein. Great for my teenage vegetarian! Plus Sabra Hummus is super easy for her to prepare a quick snack when she gets home from school. Hummus is great with vegetables, tortilla chips, and pita chips. Sabra Hummus comes in a variety of flavors, my favorite being the Roasted Red Pepper.
These are great for kids because they are small bites plus so many kids don’t get in their recommended amount of fruits and vegetables. These could be made into cute animal shapes even! This is also a great low carb snack for our kids with diabetes.
To make these Hummus Vegetable Bites, use any variety of vegetables and cut into slices, add some hummus, and top with a smaller piece of vegetable. I used carrots, cucumbers, and radishes. Super easy and fast!
- 2 cucumbers, sliced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 5-6 radishes, sliced
- 1 container of Sabra Red Roasted Pepper Hummus, or flavor of your choice
- For garnish, use matchstick carrots, diced radishes and diced cucumbers.
- Lay slices of vegetables onto a platter. Place a spoonful of hummus onto each vegetable. Top with a garnish vegetable and serve.
